The cancellation of spring sports due to the COVID-19 pandemic left athletes across the country heartbroken, particularly high school seniors.

The countless hours of work and preparation led to devastation as the spring season abruptly fizzled out, robbing the Class of 2020 spring student-athletes of dear memories, new friendships and a proper Senior Day celebration.

Gold Country Media wants to recognize as many of our area’s senior spring athletes as possible. Check back in the coming weeks in all of our publications for a few featured student-athletes at a time as we acknowledge our own “Senior Day.”
