1. High-risk individuals should avoid mass gatherings where large numbers of people are within arm's length of one another.
2. Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue, cloth, sleeve or arm
3. Wash hands and surfaces frequently. Best to use soap and water for at least 20 seconds, but wipes or hand sanitizer should be used is washing not available.
4. Stay home and cover your face if sick to protect family members and others.
1. Make sure you and your family are safe and prepared.
In addition to your normal emergency supplies (food, water, medications for ~ 7 days),
consider adding some extra food, medications and paper goods in case of an extended “stay-at-home” quarantine.
You do not need extra water.
2. Please check-in with your neighbors to see if they are OK.
In particular, older or infirm neighbors may need some assistance in getting the supplies they need.
If you are able, do volunteer to shop for them, or help them shop online.
3. Keep in touch with us.
Do not hesitate to contact us if we can offer advice, help or support. While this may not exactly be the type of emergency that our Varsity Park CERT was designed to address, both our VarsityParkCERT and Varsity Park Neighborhood want to do its part by helping to disseminate helpful information and to help identify individuals in our neighborhood community who may need extra assistance during this difficult time.
We will be in touch more as the days go by and will provide additional information and resources as we become aware of them. Useful Information
We will host a few Zoom meetings for us to share information.
Please see our websites at VarsityParkCERT and Varsity Park Neighborhood Association for more information.
Working together, we and our neighbors will get through this.
