Paulo Dias is currently in Dublin, where he is visiting the VR Lab of the DCU, learning more about what other research units do. He also had the opportunity to participate in a large demonstration, with over 700 students.

Our team has been recently present at IEEE VR 2025, where we were the responsibles for organizing the XRIOS workshop. Overall, we had over 60 persons attending the event, 3 awards, 13 presentations and a keynote presentation by Professor Joaquim Jorge.
In addition, our team had 4 publications and also received an award for best paper.

Today, we received the visit of Prof. Isaac Choo, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Utah State University and the founding director of the Visualization and Mixed Reality Lab (VizUS).
Besides getting to know our campus and the VAR Lab team and installations, Prof. Isaac conducted a presentation at IEETA, entitled: "Evaluating 3D User Interfaces in Immersive Data Visualization".

We are excited to announce the Tutorial, "On the Turning Away: Enhancing Stroke Survivors Rehabilitation with Virtual Reality", which will be held in conjunction with VISIGRAPP 2025!!
This tutorial will present essential concepts associated with the use of Virtual Reality (VR) technologies for Rehabilitation scenarios from a Human-Centered Design (HCD) perspective.
To help achieve this vision, various research works will be described, which were conducted in collaboration with a renown Medical Rehabilitation center, including stroke survivors and healthcare professionals.
The tutorial will end with a call for action, illustrating various important topics that should be addressed to increase the level of maturity of the field. Finally, we intend to have a period for discussion, in which the attendees may express their questions and opinions, including interesting topics for future research.
