My 4 year journey at SUSS has been filled with many ups and downs. However, what made school much more fun and bearable was the group of close friends I have forged friendships with. We called ourselves 'The Nuggets'. They are friendships that would last a lifetime, and I am beyond thankful to have met them at SUSS. Apart from developing a strong bond, we got to work on multiple projects together, and those experiences have brought us closer together. Having come together as individuals from different backgrounds, with different strengths and weaknesses, we had however, perfectly complimented one another! The bond, synergy, cooperation and teamwork developed between us were great, and one I'm so grateful for! They are just the BEST TEAMMATES EVER ~ When the opportunities arises to land us in the same group for projects, our team would always have a fun time, and we would always brainstorm on the wildest and best ideas, that even, we ourselves, take great pride in. Furthermore, it would often land us in scoring well for almost all projects we had worked on together (Further details of such projects will be highlighted in the next section below).
Apart from forging great friendships and doing well academic-wise, studying at SUSS had definitely altered my mindset and expanded my knowledge and world views. It has also honed valuable soft skills such as communications, project and time management skills, thereby, allowing me to grow as an individual. It had also developed a habit in me to be a more disciplined and responsible individual by seeing through tasks assigned. The experiences has also given me the opportunity to grow into an individual that is more inquisitive, one that seeks to constantly pursue and learn new things. This is evident through my internship experience highlighted under 'Career Journey' as well as my quest to pick-up new skills (eg. Photography, photoshop, art-classes via Udemy) that brings value to me. As such, this closely aligns well with the school's value on 'Head' - being a life-long learner.
Finally, the aspect on 'Heart' had been a constant since years beyond the start of my journey at SUSS. This core value was in fact, a key factor that had drawn me to join SUSS. I've always had a soft spot for helping and making a positive difference to those in need within society. Hence, while in Uni, I decided to join 2 service learning groups to extend a helping hand to 2 groups of vulnerable communities in Singapore - the less-privileged young and elderly (More information about my experiences can be found under 'Citizenship Journey').
Overall, I'm thankful for the experiences and memories created at SUSS. It is a school that encourages 'going beyond just academics'.
This section showcases the key projects I did with my groupmates over my college years at SUSS.
They aren't just normal projects, they are ones that my team and I are really proud of and had thoroughly enjoyed doing, despite the many challenges we had faced along the way.
In addition, they are assignments where our analysis and proposals were well-received by our professors and classmates, hence, landing us to score really well for the various modules. We had even topped the class for them! (:
