Fun Fact: Post IMO 2005, through the first year of M. Math., I was sure that I wanted to pursue research in Combinatorics and Graph Theory. An excellent course in Algebraic Number Theory by Prof. Mrinal Das at ISI Kolkata was a game changer for me. I still keep my combinatorial interests alive via numerous UG projects and MO activities at all levels!

In mid-2025, I decided to move back to India after ~15 years abroad, so that I could mentor the next generation while pursuing my deep passion for ramification theory. I am truly saddened by the appalling lack of awareness of gender issues and the non-existence (and sometimes intentional obstruction) of support to our children in established and prestigious institutes.
For this reason, I chose to resign from a recent academic position and I am actively looking to partner with socially conscious organizations to establish a solid base for my outreach activities. Minimum requirements for a partner organization include full compliance with POSH and POCSO acts.
I have been heavily involved in India's National Mathematical Olympiad programmes leading up to official contests on the international level - EGMO and IMO - and associated training activities. However, my focus is on sustained long-term support for the students throughout their chosen careers - beyond Olympiads.
I led the Indian delegation to EGMO 2026; we were featured in Resonance Journal of Science Education for India's best ever performance at EGMO: PDF
