Public Solutions

Our group, the Polypunchers, considered working with our city council to write an ordinance that would ban the use of polystyrene take-out containers in the city limits of Laramie. However, after learning extensively about the founding fathers of our country and early American history, we now know that our country was constructed on the ideals of enlightenment philosophy, and that people can make proper decisions to help all parties involved without being forced by the government. We can make better decisions when we work together as a community. Therefore, we decided to not go the public route and to work with the private sector to achieve our mission.
