Thank you for your interest in supporting CUWiP 2023! We greatly appreciate your time and dedication to helping promote women’s voices and opportunities in our community.

The overarching aim of this APS conference series is to increase recruitment and retention of undergraduate women in physics by communicating the breadth of education and career paths open to physics majors, disseminating information and advice on applying for summer research, graduate school and professional employment, and by providing opportunities to share experiences, advice and ideas with women at different stages of their education or career paths. Additional specific goals for the UW conference are to connect women physicists in our region to form a long-lasting network that can be used throughout their careers, and to foster a diverse network of local physicists equipped to elevate the professional practices and discourse of physics as supportive and broadly welcoming to those groups underrepresented in its ranks.

The key to our success as a program is and has been the support of a large number of volunteers. As of now, we are looking for volunteers to assist us in these capacities:

• Serving on the Local Organizing Committee, whose responsibilities include choosing the external speakers, overall planning, and budgeting

• Organizing and running the social events, e.g. the Physics Slam

• Helping fundraise via connections to local companies

• Organizing the volunteers

• Organizing and helping run panels (see panel list in volunteer form below)

• Helping organize the Career Exploration Fair

• Helping transport students

• Chaperoning attendees to and from events on campus
