U.W. students may be eligible for International Programs Cheney funding. Please contact UW Study Abroad for more information. This funding would help pay for student tuition and fees. In order to be eligible for this sort of support, please submit you field school application no later than February 1, 2019.

The exact dates for the field school will be posted here as soon as they are determined.

Tentative Schedule:

May 7 (tentative) - Preparation class covering preparation for the field school and an overview of Croatian prehistory and history. This will be held via Zoom.

May 27 (tentative): optional one day, intensive pre-field training session (tentatively planned for on location at Camp Guernsey, Wyoming). If you are not local, we still would encourage you to attend this one day session (and we can help arrange for lodging). However, if you are not able to come, we will make alternative arrangements.

• June 23 (tentative): Students arrive in Zagreb.

• June 24 - 25: Museums & sites in Zagreb, Krapina Neandertal Museum.

• June 26: Travel to field sites

• July 2-3 (tentative): Weekend (opportunity for students to see sites/take a weekend trip)

• June 27 - July 5 (tentative): Field Session 1. (please note that July 4th will be a regular field school day)

• June 6: Rotation Day (Senj - tentative)

• July 7 - 15 (tentative): Field Session 3

• July 9-10 (tentative): Weekend (opportunity for students to see sites/take a weekend trip)

• July 16: Final Presentations & Dinner (Istria - tentative)

• July 17: Students Depart
