USD 408 Staff Recognition Scholarship(USD 408 Recognition Scholarship Program) STAFF RECOGNITION SCHOLARSHIPThe Staff Recognition Scholarship Program will provide funding to a graduating male or female student who has demonstrated a sufficient work ethic to successfully complete a post-secondary program/training. DESIGNATING STAFF MEMBER RECOGNITIONA specific staff member(s) can be recognized with an awarded scholarship by an individual or group donation to MAC of $1000 per designated recognition. Each designated staff member must meet the retirement qualifications of the State of Kansas, and have served the USD 408 School District as a full-time employee. Bio information about the recognized staff member will need to be provided by the donor and/or donating group. STAFF RECOGNITION TERMSThe MHS Principal and Guidance Counselor, using the Staff Recognition Criteria, will lead a committee process in selecting the scholarship recipient, and include those that they deem qualified to provide useful input. In order to receive USD 408 Staff Recognition financial assistance, the student must finish the school year in good standing at school., as well as within the community, and present proof of post-secondary schooling/training. The recipient shall not be directly or indirectly related to an individual donor. If more than one donation has been made to recognize specific staff members, The Scholarship Fund board will determine the order in which the scholarships will be awarded. Two of the factors taken into consideration will be: the timing of when the donations were made, and whether the staff member being honored is available to attend the awards assembly.
