We built and programmed an Arduino robot for object and distance detection. We also programmed a line-following Arduino robot to follow a curved black line on the floor.
In this project, we built and programmed a Tamiya tracked vehicle from the ground up. We first assembled the chassis with wheels, motor, base, and tracks, then wired the breadboard, redboard, motor driver, and batteries before coding the Arduino. After we redesigned some parts of the build, the v2 build ran successfully, as shown in our test video.
For this project, we programmed an EZ-Robot humanoid to scan rooms and locate a designated “victim” using its camera. We identified limitations in the default color-detection block code and rebuilt it with custom JavaScript blocks that continuously monitored camera input. Because the walking gait was unreliable, we instead used precise head movements to look into each room. Our final system successfully scanned all rooms and correctly identified the victim’s location ahead of the other humanoids.
This project we build and programmed a robot that autonomously makes slime using parts from the Vex IQ V-Rex robot.
We programmed Zumi to autonomously navigate a simulated damaged-building environment using IR sensor-based obstacle detection, exiting through a series of walled obstacles by detecting blocked paths and executing turn maneuvers to find a clear route out.
