Step 1 - Initial Interview

Are YOU a good fit for the Air Force or Space Force?

• While the Air Force may be hiring, our goal is to make sure that you are physically and mentally fit to join. We ask several questions to build a profile on you and determine your best aptitudes.

• This is treated like a job interview! Think of how you would act toward a potential employer. Make us want to hire you!

• Interested in the Space Force? Don't worry, you can apply for both at the same time. As this is still a new branch, ask your recruiter about it when you meet!

• DO NOT BE SET ON ONLY 1 JOB! We have tons of different jobs. You never know what your options are. So......

• Start doing research! Have questions ready to go to help clarify things. We are here to help you make informed decisions.

Pre-qualifications

• Must be at least 17 with parental consent, or no older than 38. You will need to be in BMT before your 39th birthday.

• The Air Force and Space Force has physical requirements for height and weight. These standards are strict and must be followed. If you are outside the requirements, that will delay your employment process.

• In your interview, we cover common basic disqualifying conditions. Some of these questions may be sensitive, and if you bring along individuals they may be asked to step out while we cover these questions for privacy.

• Drug use, law violations, and fiscal responsibilities are also asked about.

• Are you ready to take the ASVAB? We will get a baseline in a practice test and determine from these indicators if you are a good fit for the Air Force or Space Force.
