Background

In most regions of the earth, the etrog industry is large and well-established. In Israel and across the Middle East, etrog groves has existed for millennia. Other Mediterranean countries, such as Italy and Morocco, have many etrog farmers. Sadly, nations in the New World such as the United States were excluded from this highly-profitable and beautiful industry. An economic titan such as the United States lacked a widespread, lucrative trade! Something needed to change, and that is why the AEGA was born.

Mission Statement

The American Etrog Growers Association was founded in December of 2017. We are an organization that grows and inspire others to grow a sought after fruit known as the etrog and allow etrog farmers around the country to gather and communicate effectively. We help American distributors compete in the competitive international etrog market and we also have an online forum for members to use.

USAETROG Certification

Our organization certifies American etrog and etrog-product producers to ensure that customers have a quality and legitimate product. We do not validate the kosher-qualifications of etrog plants and fruit, but we do have a list of self-reporting kosher-certified members and non-kosher-certified etrog producers. All of our certified members are listed in the Featured Producers page.
