ŪRU (Ooru) meaning ‘village’ is a one-of-a-kind queer camping festival to be held in the picturesque town of Wayanad in Kerala. The three-day festival is scheduled between Friday, the 11th of Nov & Sunday, the 13th of Nov 2022.
The idea behind ŪRU is to create a safe space where queer folks and allies can gather in nature to share ideas and exchange knowledge.
ŪRU will be a welcoming, tolerant, fun loving, creative space where you can be who you are without any fear of judgements. ŪRU will be your own village for the three days where you can sing under the stars, dance around fire, create art, develop a bond with one another and connect with nature.
ŪRU will be whatever you want it to be – It’s your queer village after all.
