Getting to the property: Please be aware that there is a 20-minute walk to the property from the bus drop off point. The walk is through even terrain on a well built road. The road is too narrow for your bus to drive through. It is a beautiful walk which will be all the more enjoyable if you pack light.
Zero Tolerance to Drugs Policy: The festival is hosted in a remote village skirting along a reserve forest. Forest officials are very strict with regards to drug usage. If found using illicit substances, you will be asked to leave. ŪRU and Oxyfarm will take no responsibility if you are found using recreational drugs by forest officials.
Alcohol Consumption: We are not licensed to sell alcohol at the festival. Please bring your own alcohol (& mixers) if you wish to drink. The nearest liquor store to the property is 32kms away. We will not be able to arrange transportation to the liquor store.
We encourage you to drink in moderation. The festival is held in a property that skirts along a forest reserve. Unruly behaviour after intoxication will not be tolerated. We all have to be respectful of the space.
Please bring your own drink glasses if you wish to consume alcohol. Please note: No mixers, ice cubes or drink glasses will be available at the property.
Smoking: Smoking cigarettes will only be allowed in designated smoking areas. If you are a smoker, please familiarise yourself with the smoking area. Please dispose the cigarette butts in the ash trays provided. Smoking inside the cottages or adjacent camping areas is strictly prohibited.
Noise Restrictions: No loud music or noise after 11pm. Please remember that the festival is hosted in a property that is adjacent to a reserve forest. Several small villages are nearby, and we must respect the law of their land.
Forest Rules: Please do not venture out into the forest by yourself in the night. The forest is home to several animals some of which can be dangerous. Also, the neighbours, local villagers and tribes do not appreciate it if we venture into their protected land without permission and supervision. Please be respectful of their home. Their home; their rules.
Littering: Please try to minimise your waste. Please dispose your waste in the bins provided. We should aim to hand back the property as it was handed to us, if not cleaner. Please be mindful of where you discard your waste. Remember to segregate your waste.
Camping festival: The whole idea of this camping festival is to take a pause from city life, connect to one another and connect with nature. While we will do everything we can to make your festival experience a memorable one, please remember that this is a camping festival and do not expect the comforts of city or the service of a 5 star hotel.
First-Aid: We have a fully equipped first-aid kit available with us at the festival. We also have two doctors at the festival who can attend immediately if there is a medical emergency. The nearest hospital is in Periya town, and we will always have a cab and a driver on call.
Insects & leeches: Due to heavier than usual rainfall this monsoon, there are several leeches and other insects in and around the property. Do not panic if you spot any insects in your room. Please alert the organisers or Oxyfarm staff. We will carefully remove the insect from your cottage/tent.
Always wear socks and covered foot wear. Please carry a small spray of hand sanitiser spray with you while outdoors. If you find a leech attached to your body, do not panic. Please spray a small amount of hand sanitiser on the leech and it will fall off.
Internet / Mobile Reception: You will get decent coverage if you are with Jio or BSNL. Vodafone has intermittent coverage. Airtel has zero coverage. There is no Wi-Fi at the property. You can use the landline at the property for emergency phone calls. Please consider this weekend as an opportunity to have a digital detox.
