Traditional English Sandwich
The Sandwich is a very typical food in England because it was invented there. The Sandwich is named after John Montagu, Earl of Sandwich, an 18th century English aristocrat. It is said that he ordered his valet to bring him meat between two slices of bread because it was easy to eat while he was working.
At that time, it was very sophisticated but nowadays everybody eat sandwiches all around the world. Sandwiches are a popular type of lunch food in England taken to work, school, or picnics.
To make a “Traditional English Sandwich”; first, we need to spread mayo, butter or cream cheese on each slice of bread to enhance its flavour and texture. Then, we will place lettuce on each slice. After that, we will put the bacon on one slide and the tomato slices on the other one. Next, we will join both sides together. Now the sandwich is made! so finally we can eat it.
The BLT (Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato) is the most common Sandwich in England.
