Similarity Checking

UP Manila faculty and staff can now check students' work for improper citation or potential plagiarism through our subscription to Turnitin. 

It is an originality checking and plagiarism prevention service that compares paper submissions against continuously updated databases. It also promotes academic integrity, deters plagiarism and improve student outcomes. 

Due to the limited number of accounts assigned to UPM, only faculty and staff have user accounts available on the Turnitin database. 

Email us to review and process your request.

Submit your manuscript/research paper for originality checking by following the instructions below:

1. Contact your home college/unit library.

2. Send your manuscript (preferably in Word or PDF file) via email.

3. Your college library will run your article/manuscript/research paper in Turnitin and send the Similarity Report to your email.

This plagiarism checking service is FREE of charge and is available for bonafide members of the UP Manila community.
