Greetings!

I’m Derrick wife, mother, and teacher! Growing up in Georgia, I always wanted to become a Teacher. From playing 'school' at home with my toys to volunteering as a teacher's aide at the elementary, I have always known I wanted to be in the classroom. However, I pursed my passion of becoming a Social Worker and obtained a BSW in 2010 and a MSW in 2018. Despite pursuing my passion, I also wanting to teach, build curriculum and manage a room full of bright-eyed eager students.

I gained some teaching experience via homeschooling, teen minstry and training adults to become foster or adoption parents.

That's where virtual teaching came in. I started at Gogo Kids teaching Chinese students how to speak in English. Then I added Outschool to my resume where I teach a variety of classes from Science to Growth mindset classes. It has been such a blessing to fill both passions of motherhood and teaching in my life and I hope it serves you well too.

I am passionate about providing children a sound education with innovative teaching styles. I get so excited when I see children sharing ideas and learning new things in my class. I am excited for each class and all the new adventures we experience in our virtuall classroom.
