About the place

The Collegian, at 1810 Alder across from the UO campus, is an environmentally friendly community of 44 furnished micro-studios for students and others dedicated to the quiet enjoyment of life.

Quarterly rent includes meals prepared by a professional chef, utilities, Wi-Fi, and monthly housekeeping.

All of the micro-studios are 220 square feet, including a private bathroom.

Half of the micro-studios also have a loft (accessed via a circular staircase). They are more expensive but can be shared by two people.

Secure underground parking, accessed via Alder Street Alley, is available for an extra fee.

    • Availability as of 4/10/19: One room is available now. There will be more availability in summer 2019 (stays of varying durations are possible).

Our role

We have lived in The Collegian and operated a location-independent business here since August 2018.

We invite anyone interested in sustainability, affordable housing, and/or co-living to visit us. Short-term parking for guests is available at no charge underneath the building (enter off Alder Street).

We're also interested in writing about this mode of living and in speaking to small groups about it; contact us if interested.
