Project Description

For this project we were to find a partner and choose two different countries and find out their differences in digital divide. My partner, Alessa Avila, and I chose Brazil and North Korea. The two countries are vastly different and we dive deep into the comparison of technological availabilities between the two.

Power point

For the Power Point presentation we chose to follow the 6x6 rule of the bullets and put most of the information in the "notes" section of the presentation.

For the word doc we used the libraries resource of Globalroadwarrior to find most of our information on the two countries.

Interesting Facts

Some interesting facts i found about North Korea were that they have a calender that they follow that's based on Kim Il-Sung's birthday, April 15, 1912. A few other interesting facts are that they have banned blue jeans and they only have 28 approved haircuts.

What I Learned

While doing this project i learned of the vast difference in the digital divide between North Korea and Brazil. The North Korean Government has a strict hold on their technology. Brazil has similar internet use to us here in the US.
