Were you able to find yourself fairly easily?
No, I couldn’t find too much about myself except for one social media account.
How did you narrow down your search results? What advanced search features did you try?
I tried using my full name, nicknames, social media usernames, my email, phone number, and even my street address.
Were any of the search results surprising?
Yes, I was surprised at how many people share the same name. And how there were so many different careers and lives being lived by people with the same name.
Do you feel your digital footprint represents you accurately?
Tough question to answer, I think it does in a way because I’m a private person and I couldn’t find too much about myself.
Did anything surprise you about your activity?
I tried searching for some family members the same way I googled myself, I found their social media accounts and street addresses. I think it’s crazy how easily it is to search for someone online and find so many things about them.
