Google announced it disrupted a foreign cybercriminal group running a text-scam scheme just 24 hours after filing its lawsuit.The group was behind a large-scale SMS phishing, “smishing”, campaign that sent fake E-ZPass and USPS text messages. The group would send fake links that were used to collect sensitive information from almost a million people in over 120 countries. The hacker groups cloud based servers have reportedly been locked following the lawsuit.
