UniSnake privacy policy
Last updated: 17 October 2026
In short, for younger players
UniSnake never asks for your name, email or age. There are no accounts.
Your game is saved only on your phone.
When ads load, Google, the company that shows our ads, gets your phone's ad number (advertising ID), your internet address (which tells roughly where you are) and which ads you watched. It uses them to show and count ads and to stop cheating.
Ads picked from your interests are off, unless you turn them on in the game: Boosts, then Privacy. You can turn them off again at any time.
While you play, the game can keep a log of what you do in it (for example each level up, each trip home), with a random number for your copy of the game and a game code, and send it to Google, which keeps it for us. We use it only to fix the game and make it better, never for ads, and it never holds your name. To have yours deleted, send us the game code shown at the bottom of Boosts, then Privacy.

Who makes UniSnake
UniSnake is made by one person, who lives in France and publishes it on Google Play as ShruGames. His legal name is shown with the developer's details on UniSnake's Google Play page. He is responsible for your personal information: he is UniSnake's data protection officer, and in Quebec its "responsable de la protection des renseignements personnels". Contact: shooki@duck.com.
What we collect and why
We, ShruGames, run no servers. Your progress is saved on your phone and is deleted when you uninstall the game or clear its data. The only information about you we can see is the play log (part 2 below), which holds no name, email or ad number.
If you say yes to the daily reminder, your phone shows at most one reminder a day about what waits in the game. It is written and timed on your phone, from your game there: what a reminder says and when it comes are never sent to us or to anyone else. The play log (part 2 below) does record your answers about it: whether you said yes or "Not now" to the game's question, what you answered when Android asked, when you turn it on or off in the game, whether reminders are on, and whether you opened the game by tapping a reminder or while one was still waiting. For it, the game asks Android to "show notifications", and to "run at startup" only so that waiting reminders come back after your phone restarts.
Code from Google inside the game handles information:
1. *Google AdMob, for ads.* When the game starts and when you tap "Watch" for a boost, Google's ad code sends Google: your device's IP address (from which Google estimates your general location), your Android advertising ID and app set ID, how you use the ads (app launch, taps, videos watched), and technical data (loading time, freezes, battery use). Google uses this to show you an ad, count it and pay us for it, limit how often you see the same ad, and prevent fraud. Unless you turn on personalized ads, Google does not use it to pick ads from your interests and builds no profile of you for ads. Google explains what it does with this information at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. 2. *Google Analytics for Firebase, for the play log.* In the versions of the game that keep the log, the game records what you do in it while you play: when you open and close it, each step of the tutorial, trips home, bites, level ups, daily goals, the bug book, your answers about the daily reminder and whether you opened the game from a reminder, boosts and how you got them, the screens you open, and errors in the game, each with its time. The game sells nothing yet; if purchases come, the log will also record each one and whether it went through, and this policy will say so first. With it go a random number Google gives your copy of the game, a 6-letter game code the game makes (shown at the bottom of Boosts, then Privacy), your phone's model, its Android version, the game's version, your language, and a rough location (country, region and city) that Google works out from your internet address; in Canada, no city and no phone model. Google records some of this by itself, such as when the game is first opened. We do not send your advertising ID, your name or your email. We use the log to find where the game is confusing or broken, and to see whether players enjoy it and come back. Google keeps it for us as our processor, under its data processing terms (https://business.safety.google/adsprocessorterms/); we have switched off every setting that would let Google use it for itself, and nothing in it is used for ads.
If you email us, we receive your email address and your message, and use them only to answer you.
Why we are allowed to do this
Showing and counting ads, limiting repeats and preventing fraud: our legitimate interest in keeping UniSnake free to play. We keep this light: no name, no profile, and an ad number you can reset or delete.
Ads picked from your interests: only with your consent, given by turning on "Personalized ads" (Boosts, then Privacy), or in Europe, the UK and Switzerland by agreeing in Google's message when the game starts. You can take it back at any time, as easily as you gave it; that does not change what happened before.
In Europe, the UK and Switzerland, Google's message also asks your consent before the ad code reads your ad number at all.
The play log: our legitimate interest in making a game that works and that players enjoy. We keep it light: no name, no ad number, nothing used for ads, nothing kept longer than 14 months, and deletion on request. People testing the game before its release are asked for their consent before they install a version that keeps the log. When the game is released in Europe, the UK and Switzerland, the log there will wait for your consent in the game's privacy message.
Answering your emails: because you asked us.
Who receives your information
Google, for ads, under Google's own privacy policy, https://policies.google.com/privacy; and Google again for the play log, which it keeps for us as our processor. The studio uses Claude, an AI assistant made by Anthropic, to help read the log of people testing the game before its release: what it reads passes to Anthropic, under Anthropic's own privacy policy, https://www.anthropic.com/legal/privacy. We have switched off Anthropic's use of it to train its AI, and Anthropic then keeps it at most 30 days. We do not sell your information to anyone and share it with no one else.
Information sent to other countries
Google may process information in the United States and other countries, outside your own country and outside Quebec. For people in Europe, the UK and Switzerland, Google relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses (https://policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks).
How long it is kept
On your phone: until you uninstall the game or clear its data.
Emails to us: deleted 12 months after our last exchange, unless we need them longer for a legal claim.
Google keeps ad information as its privacy policy describes.
The play log: 14 months in Google Analytics; its daily raw copy 60 days; any part we save to read a test, at most 14 months too.
Testers' logs read with Claude: at most 30 days at Anthropic.
Your choices
Ads picked from your interests: off unless you turn them on, in the game: Boosts, then Privacy, then Personalized ads.
In Europe, the UK and Switzerland: change your answer to Google's message in the game: Boosts, then Privacy, then Privacy choices.
Reset or delete your ad number: on your Android phone, Settings > Privacy > Ads.
Google's ad settings: https://adssettings.google.com.
The daily reminder: off unless you say yes. Turn it off in the game, under Today (the daily goals) > Daily reminder, or in your phone's notification settings for the game.
The play log: it stops when you uninstall the game. To have it deleted, email us the game code shown at the bottom of Boosts, then Privacy; we ask Google to delete it and delete any copy we saved, within 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we have about you, where it came from and who received it, and ask us to correct it, delete it, stop using it, or give you a copy. You can take back any consent. We answer within 30 days. For the play log, send us your game code, so we can find yours: we cannot find it any other way. For what Google holds for ads, we will help you use Google's tools.
You can also complain to a data protection authority: in France the CNIL (https://www.cnil.fr), in the Philippines the National Privacy Commission (https://privacy.gov.ph), in Quebec the Commission d'accès à l'information (https://www.cai.gouv.qc.ca), or the authority where you live.
Players' ages
UniSnake is made for players aged 13 and over.
Keeping information safe
Everything the game sends travels encrypted. Our email account and the Google account that holds the play log are protected by a strong password and 2-step sign-in; the studio's computer reads the log only with a separate login that can read it but not change it.
How we look after personal information
ShruGames is one person, the developer named on UniSnake's Google Play page, who is the only person with access to emails sent to us and to the play log. Information is kept and deleted as described above. To complain about how we handle personal information, write to shooki@duck.com: we answer within 30 days, and you can then go to one of the authorities above.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we put the new version here with its date. If a change matters, for example if the game starts collecting something new, the game tells you before it happens.
