We demonstrate all that we're learning in music class through the story about a wolf who lost his pack!
All UPA 1st graders are encouraged to participate in this performance. However, this is not a required event.
Please note, this is the only performance that 1st grade will do this year. First grade will NOT have a graduation performance at the end of the year like kindergarten.
All UPA 1st grade families are invited to attend!
There is *technically* no limit to how many family members per child can attend, but there IS limited seating, so please consider being mindful of others.
When you enter the gym, you'll see 5 colored circles taped on the floor of the gym. To get the best view of your child, sit right in front of the circle where your child's class will be.
Baxter's class will be on the red circle
Nicolau's class will be on the yellow circle
Meyer's class will be on the green circle
Hamilton's class will be on the blue circle
Martino's class will be on the purple circle
Students will showcase the music standards they've been learning through songs, games, and dances, all weaved together through the book Way Home For Wolf. This will be relatively informal as our goal is to show parents where we are in our learning, not necessarily to put together a polished performance. Everything students need to know to participate, they have been learning in class!
The performance is Thursday, March 5th, 2025 • 6pm • UPA Gym
1st grade students should meet their teacher in the cafeteria between 5:40 and 5:50.
Doors will open for the parents to enter the gym at 5:40.
The performance should end around 6:30ish.
Students may wear either their school uniform, or casual, school-appropriate clothing. Students will be dancing around and sitting on the floor, so they should wear clothes and shoes they can move and sit in.
