Today, we dive into the world of images, sound, and stories. We don't just want to learn theory—we want to experiment directly, make mistakes, and be creative.

Today’s Schedule: Your "Missions" Today you will get to know the equipment: cameras, lighting, sound gear, as well as AI tools for writing. Each group will receive a specific "mission" to try out this tech in a playful way:

• Lighting & Macro: Artistically showcase everyday objects.

• Sound & Interview: Experience the importance of good audio in short videos.

• Perspectives: Experiment with creative camera angles (worm's-eye / bird's-eye view).

• Food Storytelling: Combine aesthetics with AI-generated text.

Division of Labor and Presentation Divide the work within your team: Who will take on directing, camera, sound, AI/texts, or presentation? Use the day to grow together as a team. At the end, we will present your results and experiences in a brief PowerPoint session.

Use the AI tools to prepare your content in three languages for an international audience. Be bold in your experimentation, get creative, and have fun!

Task 1: 

Mission "Light & Shadow" (The Macro Specialist) Your Goal: Artistically showcase everyday objects (an espresso cup, a fork, a local spice) using creative lighting and macro techniques so they look like works of art.

Your Tasks:

• Tech Check: Familiarize yourselves with the lighting equipment (reflectors, LED lights) and the macro mode of your camera/smartphone. Experiment with harsh shadows and soft light.

• The Macro Photo: Take at least three captivating macro shots of your test objects. Focus on sharpness and details that are barely visible to the naked eye.

• AI Translation: Use an AI tool (e.g., ChatGPT or DeepL) to generate engaging, concise descriptions for your images in German, English, and Italian.

• PowerPoint Integration: Insert your best photos and the trilingual texts into the PowerPoint template.

Task 2: 

Mission "Sound On!" (The Short Interview) Your Goal: Produce a short video (approx. 60 seconds) showing how important proper audio equipment is for an interview. The video must contain at least two edits.

Your Tasks:

• Tech Check: Familiarize yourselves with the external microphone and audio recording software. Test the difference between audio with and without a microphone.

• The Interview: Conduct a short interview with a team member (e.g., "What is your first highlight today?"). Pay attention to clear audio quality.

• The Editing: Edit the video so that it includes at least two intentional cuts (e.g., a cutaway to the interviewer or the microphone).

• PowerPoint Integration: Embed the finished short video into the PowerPoint presentation.

Notes:

• Division of Labor: Decide within the group who takes on which role (e.g., director/camera, sound, lighting, AI text/translation, PowerPoint creation). Everyone should get familiar with the equipment.

• Getting to Know Each Other: Use the time spent testing the equipment to get to know your teammates better.

• Presentation: At the end of the day, each group will briefly present their results (photos, videos, AI texts) via PowerPoint.

Task 3: 

Mission "Shift of Perspective" (The Video Camera) Your Goal: Explore the creative possibilities of the video camera by filming a small scene from three completely different perspectives.

Your Tasks:

• Tech Check: Familiarize yourselves with the video camera (zoom, focus, various recording modes).

• The Triple Perspective: Film a simple action (e.g., someone walking across the room, someone preparing an espresso cup) from three distinct angles:

  • Worm's-eye view (from way down low)

  • Bird's-eye view (from high above)

  • Detail close-up (focus on hands/the object)

• AI Translation: Use AI to generate short, captivating subtitles or descriptions for the three perspectives in German, English, and Italian.

• PowerPoint Integration: Insert the video clips and texts into the PowerPoint template.

Task 4: 

Mission "The Visual Story" (The Food Photo) Your Goal: Create an aesthetic photo of a dish or coffee scene (e.g., an espresso cup with biscotti) and use AI to tell the story behind it.

Your Tasks:

• Tech Check: Combine your knowledge of lighting and photography techniques. Pay attention to composition (e.g., rule of thirds) and color impact.

• The Food Photo: Take an appealing photo of your chosen subject. It should look mouth-watering and convey a mood.

• AI Storytelling: Use an AI image-captioning/description tool to generate not just hard facts, but a short, atmospheric story about the picture—of course, in German, English, and Italian.

• PowerPoint Integration: Embed the photo and the trilingual story into the PowerPoint presentation.
