The Husky Pantry
The Husky Pantry is a free food resource for any currently enrolled UWB students facing food insecurity. Students can go "shop" for grocery staples, fresh produce, and hygiene items. In the case that you can not access the pantry at the particular times available, reach out to them via email to work to have someone available or arrange a pick-up. There is also an after-hours box located outside of the door that students can select food and wellness items from during hours while the HaWRC office is closed. Besides proving groceries, they can also provide resources on how to cook on a budget, tips for reducing food waste, and other community resources that support hunger and food security. There is no limit on items, however, they encourage students to come in no more than once per week. Students are requires to sign in each time they visit the Husk Pantry using PantrySoft, however, information is not shared with any entity, individual, or organization outside of the requirements to fulfill USDA, UWB, and United Way of King County policies. The Husky Pantry is also partnered with Hopelink to bring their Mobile Market to campus, which is a mobile food pantry that visits campus twice per month to provide pantry staples as well as fresh produce and meat/dairy items. They park on Campus Way, outside of the ART on teh 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm. It is recommended to fill out their form in the Hopelink Enrollment Page prior to your visit for a faster service. To access the Mobile Market at other locations throughout the week visit their page linked above.

UWB Information technology (it) Department
The IT department at UWB offers a wide range of resources to support students' academic and technical needs. Primary resources offered by the IT deparment include Technology & Equipment which includes laptops and WiFi hot spot checkouts, cameras, audio recorders, and other A/V gear. Additionally, the IT department also provides an Open Learning Lab (OLL), which is a hub for tech-related support and collaboration. The lab is equipped with both Mac and Windows computers, with over 30 workstations (some with motorized sit/stand desks!) that have a variety of software installed, including Adobe Creative Cloud suit, as well as printers and scanners. The OLL also has student tutors who provide in-person assitance with digital media software and campus learning tools like Canvas, as well as technology-enhanced workstations , which contain group meeting stations with shared screens designed to support group projects and collaborative work. The OLL is a drop-in resource (you do not need to schedule an appointment to use the computers or receive assistance) and it is located in UW2-140 on Mon-Thu from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, and on Fri from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The IT department also provides a Virtual Lab that provides remote computer access to students, which is designed to allow you to use specialized software from a campus lab computer without need to be physically on campus! It is done by allowing you to utilize high-end or specific software on your personal computer by connecting to a physical computer in one of the campus labs through the usage of a remote desktop application called Husky OnNet (for steps on how to set it up, visit the Remote Computer Access for Students page). This service is generally available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (there might be maintenance windows). Because you are connecting to a public computer, it is essential to save all your work to a cloud storage like OneDrive or Google Drive (any files you save on the remote compute's desktop or hard drive will be deleter when you log out).
