ZONE AND LOCAL TRAINING
ZONE TRAINING:
Zone training schedules and information is available on the Eastern Oregon Training Zone page. Nomination form requirements will be determined by the Course Coordinator; if required, NWCG Nomination Forms will be sent directly to the Course Coordinator.
LOCAL UNIT TRAINING:
Local unit training will be posted on local training schedules on the Eastern Oregon Training Zone website available on the Eastern o. Contact your Unit Training Officer for additional information.
RT-130/WORK CAPACITY TESTS:
RT-130 Fire Refresher and Work Capacity Test schedules and information is available on the RT-130/Work Capacity Test page.
GUARD SCHOOL:
Guard School schedules and information is available on the Guard School page.
GEOGRAPHIC AREA AND NATIONAL TRAINING
Geographic Area and National level training opportunities are posted in the Wildland Fire Learning Portal. Nomination processes and requirements will be listed on course session pages.
For training offerings outside of the Learning Portal, including colleges and other approved training providers, individuals will follow processes specified by the provider and in accordance with agency policy. If a nomination form is required, individuals will complete the form, obtain appropriate approvals, and route to their Unit Training Officer for processing. If Forest Training Officer approval is required, Unit Training Officers will route completed forms to the Forest Training Officer for processing.
Employees are responsible for obtaining appropriate approvals and authorizations from their supervisor for all incident trainings related actions, including travel.

TRAINING NOMINATION AND PRIORITIZATION PROCESS
Prioritization is needed for all Geographic Area and National Training. Employees must complete a "Course Prioritization Form" for each course they are interested in attending. Forms must be turned in on or by September 15th, annually.
Download and complete a "Course Prioritization Form" (see Documents below).
Route the completed form to your Unit Training Officer for processing.
Forest and Unit Training Officers will complete prioritization at the Forest level. The Forest Training Officer will provide Forest prioritization lists to the Geographic Area, if requested.
