Before you can run any route you need to have a good stance.
If your defender isn't in your face you can get into this standard stance:
Feet about shoulder width apart staggered with inside foot to ball forward. (Less staggered and more square vs press)
2. Knees bent leaning forward with 70% of weight on front foot, 30% on back foot.
3. Nose slightly over front toes.
4. Hands up or down whatever is most comfortable for you. (MUST HAVE HANDS UP AND READY VS PRESS)
5.Eyes inside on the ball.
Once the ball is hiked your main goal is to stay low as long as possible during your route.
When stopping in the route you must rapidly drop your hips.
When cutting in the route you must sprint out of each break.
Keep eyes glued to the ball
Always use two hands when possible.
Only use fingertips when catching NOT PALMS.
Look ball all the way into a tuck.
Identify defender
Close space under control, break down within 3 yards keeping feet square.
Get close enough to see defenders eyes.
Put hand on chest plate and pull him into you.
Keep keep square and drive.
