The significant challenge of this production lay in its scale. The goal was to craft a cohesive universe where each group developed its own board game, all governed by shared game rules. Consequently, the work was divided between Lore Group, Global Game Design, and Individual Teams.

In my role as Lead Game Designer, I juggled a dual responsibility: overseeing the game design of my team while also participating in the Global Game Design group. So I had to bring up the concerns of my team and inform them of the changes or subtleties of the global rules. This required me to be communicative and understanding with both groups, essentially serving as their interface. 

The scenario is based on the assault of the territory of one player by the other, so I opted for an asymmetric level design. In the first 2 levels, attackers are assigned clear objectives to control, while the defenders aim to buy time and progressively strengthen their position. This deliberate asymmetry provides each player with a distinct experience, immersing them fully in the spirit of their respective armies. 

To ensure the quality of our production, I closely monitored playtests, focusing on balancing the shapes of the cells to prevent unintentional disadvantages for either faction. Each board underwent 4 to 5 iterations before reaching its current form.
