Rules
• The Acting Referee(s) will be announced at the start of each round.
• Round 1 will last 1 hour. The top scoring 16 players will advance to Round 2.
• Round 2 will last 1 hour. The top scoring 8 players will advance to the Final
• Final will last 3 hours. The top scoring 3 players will be given Winner, Runner-up and Bronze medal positions in the Final Tournament ScoreBoard.
These apply to the whole tournament – for ALL rounds:-
1 The Round starts when the Referee blows the whistle which starts the countdown clock
2 Each player has unlimited credits that can be used in the allotted time for the round
3 To submit a score, the player must raise their hand and remain standing or seated at the cabinet. The Referee will then come over to them and record their score. The Referee will then verbally give them confirmation that their score has been submitted, and they are free to start a new game if they wish and or have time.
NOTE – the player does NOT have to enter their name on the high score screen.
4 If a player restarts a new game without submitting it officially to the Referee – it will NOT count. Only scores that were shown, recorded with verbal confirmation by the Referee(s) with the player still at the cabinet will be valid
5 If a player has submitted a score confirmed by a Referee, and the player feels they do not need to start a new game in the time remaining in the round, they are free to leave the cabinet and the stage. The cabinet will remain unused for the time remaining in the round.
6 The Round will end when the Referee blows the whistle a second time as the countdown clock has reached zero.
7 When the Referee blows the 2nd whistle - this ends the round – all players MUST remove their hands from the control panel immediately. The scores that are shown on screen will then be recorded (and allocated to a player if it happens to be the highest score they have made during the round)
8 If, for any reason, a player who has qualified to the next round but is unwilling or unable to compete in the next round, then the next highest scoring player from the Scoreboard will advance to the next round in their place.
9 Referee(s) decision on any matter is deemed as final and must be accepted.
