Code of Conduct & Ettiquette
We want everyone to have fun, in a safe and welcoming environment at our tournament.
There will be a Referee visible on the playing floor watching proceedings and recording valid scores. A Tournament director will also be present, and will ultimately have the last and final decision on ALL matters.
We respectfully ask that everyone entering the tournament in a sporting & friendly mindset and demeanour, so that we can attempt to have a fun tournament for everyone
We get it guys - its a frustrating game and drives us crazy at times. Whilst we all swear now and then playing at home - we need to now respect this is a tournament in public. Excessive use of foul language or aggressive behaviour towards other players, referee or crowd members will not be tolerated in any way.
We request that players are mindful of spectators when competing and appreciate that there will probably children in the crowd watching. Please adjust behaviour and language used accordingly.
Players are asked to be mindful of other players competing at all times and must not attempt to distract or affect their gameplay. Any players deemed to be excessively distracting to a competitor or inhibiting a competitor’s ability to compete – whether purposefully or accidentally – may be issued with an informal or formal warning at the discretion of Tournament Officials.
Once players are allocated a cabinet, and have taken their position at that cabinet, there is a "no go zone" around the cabinet. Only the player at the machine can enter it, or a tournament official, referee or technician if we deem them to examine the cabinet for a fault.
We will be using a Yellow and Red Card system to issue warning to players who are deemed to be in violation of the set rules or indeed attempting to gain advantage by distraction, abuse (verbal or physical) towards other players, officials or spectators. Arguiing and or abusing a tournament official as a result of a warning of a disqualification may result in the player being removed from the event and indeed the building for the remainder of the event.
There is a zero tolerance policy on agressive, disruptive or inappropriate behaviour especially involving profanity, homophobic, racist or sexist language.
Any ruling by the Referee or Tournament official is final. Arguiing may result in a yellow or red card, removal from the tournament and ultimately the building if deemed necessary.
