Format

As mentioned, doors open at 11am so we will aim to kick off at 11:30am

ROUND ONE (32 players)

11:30am - 3:30pm

Each player has 1 hour on a cabinet (with as many credits as you like) to post their best score.

In order to achieve getting through 32 players with 8 cabinets - it would mean 4 "sittings" of 1 hour for 8 players.

Hence this round will take 4 hours to give all 32 players a 1 hour game

RESULT: The top 16 -players with the best scores go through...

ROUND TWO (16 players)

3:30pm - 5:30pm

Each player has 1 hour on a cabinet (with as many credits as you like) to post their best score.

In order to achieve getting through 16 players with 8 cabinets - it would mean 2 "sittings" of 1 hour for 8 players.

Hence this round will take 2 hours to give all 16 players a 1 hour game

RESULT: The top 8 -players with the best scores go through to the FINAL...

FINAL (8 players) ---8 players all in a row on the 8 cabinets on the stage ---

5:30pm - 8:30pm

Each player has 3 hours on a cabinet (with as many credits as you like) to post their best score.

The winner is the one with the highest score - simple as that.

This means plenty of time for the top players to post some monster scores - and even killscreens!?

This is what the public want to see when they come to watch - the best players getting huge scores and showing how to play Donkey Kong!

Players Allocation to Cabinets

We will be having a LIVE draw on YouTube & Twitch 

ROUND ONE

This will be done in 3 steps :-

i) draw a players name randomly from the hat

ii) then draw a number from 1-4 to determine which SITTING they will be in for ROUND ONE

iii) then draw a number from 1-8 to determine which CABINET they will sit at for ROUND ONE

ROUND TWO

is automatically done by taking the positions of the final scoreboard for ROUND ONE.

The top 16 players who proceed to ROUND TWO are automatically placed into allocated SITTING and CABINET numbers according to their position in the top 16. As shown in the illustration table below - players in the final 16 with positions of:

1,3,5,7,9,11,13 & 15 - will be in the 1st SITTING and go into CABINET numbers 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 & 8 in that order

2,4,6,8,10,12,14 & 16 - will be in the 2nd SITTING and go into CABINET numbers 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 & 8 in that order

Players will be allocated a CABINET based on drawing numbers 1-8 out of a hat before commencing the final
