Nov. 9, 2026: Applications open
Jan. 16, 2027, 11:59 pm: Applications & recommendation forms due
Feb.- Mar. 2027: Interviews with selected finalists (via Zoom)
Mar. 2027: Cohort 6 announced
June 1 -5, 2027: Summer Institute at Cedars-Sinai's South Campus. Note that in-person attendance at each day of the Summer Institute is a required component of U-GROW, so applicants who anticipate a scheduling conflict are advised to apply another year.
June 7 - Aug 27, 2027: Cohort 6's internships
Sept. 2027- Apr. 2028: Monthly Scientific Communication Workshops (via Zoom)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA for COHORT 6
We welcome applications from students who meet the following criteria:
CSU juniors, seniors, and recent graduates (if you graduated in Spring 2025 or later, you are eligible; if you graduated before Spring 2025, you are ineligible) from one of the following LA-area CSU campuses:
Cal Poly Pomona
Channel Islands
Dominguez Hills
Fullerton
Los Angeles
Long Beach
Northridge
San Bernardino
Not accepted to a graduate program at the time of applying
Good academic standing (minimum GPA of 3.0)
Strong communication and organizational skills
An interest in learning about cancer disparities and cancer prevention research is required; research experience is NOT required
