LEADER

Brother and Cadet Jack Kemper earned his airborne wings at Fort Benning.

The Alpha Xi Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha prides itself on the leaders that we produce during and after your experience as an undergraduate at UC. Currently PIKE holds many positions within Student Government, the Student Alumni Council, ROAR Tour Guides, Lindner Student Action Team, and many other student organizations at the University. If you would like to get involved in student organizations please read more at https://campuslink.uc.edu to find out more information.

The reputation for Pikes to be leaders on campus and later in the business world is proven with our alumni’s success. This past year, 3/10 of the Homecoming 2022 final ballot were PIKE men, and the Homecoming King, was brother Xander Wells.  The founder and designer of the Stratford Heights development is a brother from our chapter. The owner of The Performance Automotive group, Michael Dever, is a very prominent alumni who is active in our Chapter’s operations. Our chapter has a very rich history with our National Fraternity as well.

Brother Xander Wells crowned the University of Cincinnati Homecoming King 2022

The national fraternity has three past national presidents of the fraternity and has adopted many awards and ceremonies that come directly from our chapter. We cultivate men who are True Pikes and Bearcats for life.

Leadership is the key to both Pi Kappa Alpha’s success and the success of our individual members. The Fraternity provides a valuable arena for developing and honing leadership skills that will benefit the individual member throughout life. Pi Kappa Alpha provides leadership opportunities through executive positions within the chapter, chairmanships and committee involvement, and within the Inter-fraternity Council at UC. In addition, Pi Kappa Alpha promotes leadership through campus involvement by the requirement of each brother to be involved in one student group outside of Pi Kappa Alpha. On a national level, unique opportunities are offered in leadership training through Pike University events, such as Regional Leadership Summits, the Chapter Executives Conference, the PIKE Academy, and the PIKE Convention.

The leadership skills gained as an undergraduate are applied in the business world post graduation. Many successful Pike alumni scout the undergraduate ranks for the next employee in their company. Many great jobs are found through networking, and Pike alumni actively look for active Pikes, knowing what they automatically bring to the table. Pi Kappa Alpha’s size and reputation serve as a tremendous resource for recent graduates in pursuit of their planned career.
