The UChiconlang
Our first group project will be a conlang based on UChicago's culture. The noun class system is based on the Core subjects and the phonology makes "Northwestern" unpronounceable. We have also developed an orthography that uses Linear A, but without regard to the glyphs' actual value (like how the Cherokee syllabary uses the W shape for /la/) since it is undeciphered. See our progress here!
Right: A wonderful encapsulation of the club and the UChiconlang from Bryce Hoenigman and Aria Ullman
Piji /pidʒi/
Piji is the club's conpidgin project. A conpidgin is a kind of language game where no one is allowed to speak a language that anyone else knows and the participants must make up a new communication system (a pidgin). Join our discord to watch for when we hold conpidgin meetings!

Iconography
Our logo was designed by founding PM Alice Wang. It riffs off of the existing conlanging flag by replacing the Tower of Babel with Mansueto and the Reg to show our club's alignment both to conlanging and UChicago.
We also include here our posters from over the years (since 2023) and the 2:1 flag version of our logo.
