The Content Support Specialist will be a student-intern member of the University Communications Content Team, helping to tell unique stories about the UNC Greensboro community and promote the University’s mission and message. Working alongside writers, photographers, videographers, and marketing professionals you will gain valuable experience for your resume. A dedicated cubicle workspace at our off-campus location (915 Northridge Street), a hybrid work schedule, and a close-knit communications team provide an enjoyable environment for this internship opportunity.
Writing, interviewing, publishing, and compiling information for UNCG News stories.
Support content writing team with work related to content creation, video, photography, and scheduling.
Pitch content ideas, especially those relevant to students and prospective student communications.
Assist with administrative projects as needed, such as proofreading emails to the campus and/or the community, writing mobile app push notifications, and aiding with general web content oversight.
Support routine emails for local news media.
Other duties as assigned such as event support or other team needs.
Strong writing/editing skills to help writers review and suggest improvements or corrections to content.
Is self-directed, organized, and attentive to detail.
Enjoys working in a team environment.
Able to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
Skilled in using MS Office products, especially Teams, MS Word, and Outlook.
Familiarity with WordPress and Adobe Photoshop is preferred.
Preference for students majoring in English, Creative Writing, Communication Studies, or Media Studies
