DAY 1 – Wednesday, 4th May
8:30 - 8:4 Project participants meet at school -
Welcome by the headmistress
8:45 - 9:45 Ice-breaking activities
9:45 - 10-30 Presentations of “If Streets could talk” and culture of democracy
Break - 15 minutes
10:50 - 11:35 - Presentation of countries for 1st and 2nd year students (by Greece, Island, Latvia)
12:00 - 12:30 - Introduction of the task for non-democratic regimes, division into international groups.
Explanation of task.
Lunch : 12:45 - 13:45
14:00 - 16:00 Historical/cultural activity “city hunt” from the school to the Holy Mountain. In international teams students explore the town, learning the history behind street names and places. Students will use the app Action Bound.
When complete students can go home.
DAY 2 – Thursday, 5th May
8:30 - 9:00 - Ice-breaking activities at school
9:00 - 10:30 - Work in teams on non-democratic regimes topic.
Break - 15 minutes
10:50 - 11:30 - JSNS video - culture of democracy
11:40 - 12:30 Workshop by students about Dofe and volunteer work in the local community
Lunch 12:30 - 13:15 (then back to school)
14:00 - 16:00 Volunteer work in the local community (students will be divided into 4 groups.
Group 1: ADRA work with children.
Group 2: Library work with children.
Group 3: Sorting clothing in a warehouses that helps refugees from Ukraine.
Group 4: Visit to the refugee centre for people who are coming to Příbram from Ukrainian. Meet with the volunteers there, who will guide us through the centre.
We will learn about the work of the integral safety system/ crew). Learn how such a centre works.
DAY 3 – Friday, 6th May - Prague
Meet at 8:00 at school - departure of bus for Prague - stop in Dobříš
10:00 - 11:30 Pragulic guided tour with homeless (Old Town Square
Students will be divided into two groups,
12:00 - 12:30 lunch
13:00 14:30 - Senate visit, with senator Václav Láska (60-90 minutes)
Free time till 17:00 - walk to Prague Castle and Petřín
17:00 - departure for Dobříš
18:00 - 21:00/21:30 Dinner and bowling, socialising activities.
21:30 - Departure for Příbram
DAY 4 – Saturday, 7th May - Prague
9:00 - 10:00 - Group work on non-democratic regimes
10:15 - 10:30 break
10:30 - 12:00 - Presentations of student group work. Handing out of certificates for the LTA.
12:00 - 12:45 Lunch
13:00 - 18:00 Scooter outing to labour camp Vojna - guided tour of the open air museum, dedicated to political prisoners. (Entrance CZK 20/ participant)
18:00 - 20:00 Back at school.
Dinner - roasting sausages in the park (will be confirmed - depends on the weather)
DAY 5 – Sunday, 8th May - Prague
9:00 - Departure from Příbram - Visit to Karlštejn - seat of Czech kings
11:15 and 12:15 - guided tour of the Catle tower, informative about the life and rule of King Charles IV
13:30 – meet at the bus and go to Prague
14:30 - arrival in Prague at the main train station
