Due to inclement weather forecasts and in the interest of safety for our students and staff, the East Baton Rouge Parish School System has made the decision to cancel classes districtwide on Wednesday, Sept. 11, and Thursday, Sept. 12.
The safety and well-being of our students, employees and their families remain our top priorities, and we believe that this measure is necessary given the predicted severe weather conditions. We encourage all families to take precautionary measures and to stay informed through reliable weather updates.
Please note that all after-school activities and events scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday week will also be canceled. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time.
The district will adhere to normal dismissal procedures on Tuesday, and all after-school activities are canceled for Tuesday afternoon.
District staff will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as needed.
