We invite you to join our Recorder Guild. 

Our mission is to promote the enjoyment of playing

the recorder. We host monthly meetings for the purpose of making music together September –

June. We perform in a public venue for “Play the Recorder Month”. We are an affiliate chapter

of the ARS (American Recorder Society) and our monthly meetings are open to all.

Please note that membership in ARS (while recommended) does not include membership in TCRG.

We ask each participant at a monthly meeting to contribute $15 per meeting. You may make

your contribution as a one-time annual membership or pay at each meeting. Annual membership

offers a reduced rate compared to contributing at each meeting. New participants may attend

their first meeting without paying the $15 fee.   Membership is open to any person interested in

our activities. Our fees are used to cover meeting expenses.

The time has come the wise ones said, to speak of many things, of dues and possibilities and how recorders sing.

After considering last year’s income and outgo, a meeting of the Guild Leadership last May determined that the dues required last year fit well for dues required for this year.

Our Guild accepts donations towards two funds:

• Workshop Fund: Contributions will be used to help defray the cost of planned workshops for adults and youth.

• Youth Scholarship Fund:  Contributions are used to support players under the age of 18 and students with active student ID.

Please pass this form along to other recorder players. As Ken has completed his term as Editor of the Newsletter, we are searching for one to step into that role, volunteers gratefully accepted. Once the Newsletter has been reestablished we will ask for the name and email address of those who wish to receive one.

Don’t miss a note! Become a member for 2023–2024

Membership dues are payable now for our 2023–2024 season. A directory of Guild members will be published

this fall. If you wish to be included, your dues should be paid by the November meeting. Annual membership is

$80; non-members are asked to pay $15 per meeting after attending their first meeting.

Youth Workshop Fund: Contributions to this fund will be used for youths to attend upcoming workshops. They

will need to apply, and the amounts distributed will depend on how much money is in the fund.

Workshop Fund: Contributions will be used to help defray the cost of the annual workshop.

Pass this form (or a copy) along to other recorder players that you meet and tell them to contact us to receive a

copy of the newsletter.
