Lionel Davis was a beloved recorder and piano teacher for many years in the Twin Cities, and a longtime member of the TCRG. It's time for his music and instruments to find new homes!
Sale includes:
• SHEET MUSIC
-- Over 400 pieces of recorder music (from renaissance on, plus liturgical and folk; single pieces, ensemble, anthologies) priced at $1–3 per item
-- Over 700 pieces of piano music from all periods, anthologies, collected works, solo, some ensemble, some pedagogical. Mostly classical, some popular, folk. Some new, some used. Most priced $1–5.
• INSTRUMENTS
--Wooden recorders, Professional grade Dolmetsch (alto, dark wood), Fehr (tenor, dark wood), Moeck (alto blond wood), Coolsma (alto dark wood). All great tone and condition. $200–$400
--Harpsichord: Hubbard one-manual, with tuning wrenches. Built from kit. Nice tone but needs work.
--Mandolin: Vintage Washburn bowlback, tortoiseshell guard, beautiful rosewood back. Playable but better as something pretty. $300
• BOOKS & RECORDS
• Music Books: Theory, history, pedagogy, biographies of composers. Pocket scores, librettos (some vintage). $3–5 for most.
• Records: Over 100 LPs and 78s, some CDs, mostly classical, from pristine to well-used (as is). including numerous operas, Musical Heritage Society. $1–3.
• Miscellaneous: foam-padded wooden seven-instrument recorder case ($100), electronic and wind-up metronomes, collapsible music stands ($5), manuscript paper. Lateral file cabinet.
