Butterfly Rainforest - Gainesville, FL is the nearest exhibit of free-flying butterflies and a must see in my opinion.
Butterfly World - Coconut Creek, FL is located just north of Ft. Lauderdale. It is a huge exhibit of free-flying butterflies and the oldest exhibit of such kind in the U.S. The exhibit offers a vine garden, hummingbird exhibit, a huge gift shop and sells plants (may be for southern FL though) and much more!
The Villages Florida Native Plant Society - has invaluable information for our gardens. This Villages charter meets on the fourth Friday of the month at Big Cypress Recreation Center, 1:30-3:00.
Butterflies and Moths of North America - A website that collects and shares data on butterflies and moths. You can report a sighting (need photo) for your county. You can print a list of species found in your county. You can go to their image gallery to assist you in identifying your species.
