The Villages is in planting zone 9A.
This is a list of nurseries that provide pesticide-free plants for our butterfly friends. Some of these are recommended by our members. I would call before visiting if you are searching for specific plants and their availability. It doesn't hurt to ask if pesticides are used. Remember, the big box stores all treat their plants. Their plants are suppose to have a tag stating treated with Neonicotinoids. Sometimes these tags are hidden right behind the plant id tags. These businesses may carry milkweed plants.
