The codes of conduct, listed below, ensure that all communication between all parties is professional and in everyone's best interest. We expect everyone to adhere to these standards during tutoring sessions.
Students should arrive on time.
Students should be ready and willing to pay attention to tutoring. This includes limiting distractions and choosing to be present.
Students should be ready and willing to engage in tutoring. For example, taking notes, focused on tutoring, answering questions, engaging with the tutor, coming with something they want to learn or work on.
Families should recognize that students will need to concentrate during tutoring. We are expecting students to be focused on their hour of tutoring. Families are more than welcome to attend with their student(s) if they deem necessary. However, we do not want this to become a distraction to their learning.
Students should be wearing clothes that are not revealing or profane.
Students will be treated with respect.
Students will be supported with their academic goals to the best of their tutor's abilities.
Students should be respectful of tutors and programming staff.
If a student does not plan or is unable to attend, students or families should communicate the absence at least two days in advance to 919-525-1374 or tutoringafter6pm@gmail.com. This will ensure that the tutoring coordinators have time to see the message and inform tutors in a timely manner.
