The Restorative Justice and Restorative Practices Club at TUSM seeks to build a culture of healing, accountability, and community within the medical school environment. We aim to provide students with tools and spaces to engage in restorative dialogue, conflict transformation, and relationship-centered approaches that foster trust and empathy. By hosting workshops, case discussions, peer circles, and collaborations with faculty and community partners, our club will promote restorative practices as both a personal skill set and a professional competency essential for future physicians. In doing so, we will contribute to student wellness, strengthen peer support networks, and cultivate the values of compassion and equity that are central to medicine.
Our club is committed to inclusivity by ensuring that every member of the TUSM community feels welcome, respected, and heard. We will actively create spaces where students of all identities, backgrounds, and lived experiences can participate fully, recognizing that restorative practices are strengthened by diverse voices and perspectives.
