The Socially Responsible Surgery chapter at Tufts University Medical School and Tufts Medical Center aims to emphasize the importance of social responsibility and health equity as a core value of surgical practice. SRS provides a safe collaborative space for students and faculty to develop ideas and projects that establish Tuft’s commitment to health equity in the surgical field. SRS allows us as leaders in healthcare to recognize the potential impact on health equity that can be made in the surgical field and provide the means to enact that change.
