Sanitary Sight Glasses
Series SVTC is designed to provide low cost viewing in sanitary applications found in the food, dairy, and pharmaceutical industries.
Constructed using a standard sanitary clamping system which provides a uniform leak-tight assembly. This construction offers a fast method of assembly or disassembly. NO tools required!
BoroAlloy™ Clamp Glass/Metal Alloy Sight glasses are a single piece construction. There are no joints or crevices that trap for media, bacteria, or other contaminants.
Sanitary Sight Glasses
Series RS-OB rectangular ob-round sight glasses are manufactured from ASME Section VIII acceptable metals. The Series RS-OB is recommended for pressures up to 150 PSIG (14.3 Barg) and temperatures to 500ºF (260 ºC). Higher temperatures and pressures available with special gasket and lens materials.
The Series RS sight glass is entirely manufactured from rolled bar stock to withstand the severe service requirements found in process vessels and reactors. These sight glasses can be supplied in carbon steel or Type 304, 304L, 316, and 316L stainless steel with plain or reflex glass.
Curved Sight Glasses
The lower flange of the Series NW sight glass can be provided with a cylindrical or spherical curve to match the vessel or pipe it is being welded to. This eliminates the need for expensive saddles or special nozzles.
Double-Window Sight Glasses
The double window design provides extra protection against these causes of failure. All sizes except NW150-DW and NW200-DW are rated standard for 150 PSIG (10.3 Barg) pressure and full vacuum at 300 ºF (149 ºC) temperature. NW150- DW and NW200-DW are rated for 125 PSIG (8.6 Barg) pressure at 300 ºF (149 ºC) temperature. Higher pressure and temperature ratings are available upon request.
Window Wipers
TYPE 1 Window Wipers [TY1WW]: The Type I window wiper features a direct, thru-the-glass mechanism that reliably wipes away residue on the inside surface of the lens. Depending on the size of the lens Type 1 Window Wipers are suitable for pressures from 29PSI [2 Bar] to 87PSI [6 Bar]. Temperature ratings range from: 350ºF [177ºC] with a Silicon blade to 400ºF [204ºC] with PTFE blade.
TYPE 2 Window Wipers [TY2WW]: Rated for pressures up 225PSI [16 Bar] the Type 2 window wiper features a unique, thru-the-flange design that uses a flexible drive shaft that turns a spring loaded, full face wiper blade for efficient cleaning. Temperature ratings range from: 350ºF [177ºC] with a Silicon blade to 400ºF [204ºC] with PTFE blade.
