Sight Flow Indicators

We offer standard, high pressure, full view, and PTFE lined sight flow indicators in many sizes.  That we means are the one-stop source for all indicator equipment.

Our standard and high pressure units can be configured with flapper, drip tube, or rotary flow indicators and feature bodies constructed from bronze, carbon steel, or 316 stainless steel and borosilicate glass.

FIS SERIES

Series FIS sight flow indicators are provided with NPT threaded ends per ANSI B2.1,  These sightflow indicators offer inline on-the-spot viewing of a pipeline's contents. Series FIS may be configured with flapper, drip tube or rotary flow indicators. Options include socket weld and silver brazing connections and double window assemblies. Rating: 150 PSIG (10.3 Barg). Full ANSI pressure Class 150 rating available.

FEATURES

• NPT Threaded connections per ANSI B2.1

• Standard fasteners per ASTM A193 and ASTM A194 complying with most piping specifications.

• Tempered borosilicate glass

• Pipeline view is maximized for unobstructed process observation of gases, solids, solutions, and slurries.

• The ANSI flanged units are ideal for piping, process, and mechanical engineers that wish to view the contents inside their pipelines.

INTERNAL FLOW INDICATOR OPTIONS:

• Plain Style:

No internal Indicator - Unit may be mounted in any direction and flow is bi-directional. Used to indicate easily visible fluids or lack of same to detect color, clarity, turbidity or other critical characteristics of fluids. Flow Direction: Bi-Directional; Flow Orientation: Any Orientation.

• Flapper Style:

Hinged flapper to indicate flow of media.  Velocity of fluids will be indicated by position of flapper.  Units may be for flow in one direction only and can be mounted either horizontally or vertically with upward flow.  Flow Direction: Unii-Directional; Flow Orientation: Vertical Up or Horizontal.

• Rotor Style:

A PTFE or SST  Rotor indicator allows the easy verification of flow.  This style indicator can be used in any flow orientation and for bi-directional flow.  The speed of rotation also indicates relative flow velocity.  Ideal for opaque liquids or heavy gases, flow can be detected from far distances. Flow Direction: Bi-Directional; Flow Orientation: Any Orientation.

• Drip Tube Style: These indicators are used for low are intermittent flow in uni-direction flow in vertical down or horizontal directions.

The drip tube forces the liquid flow media to collect on the lower lip of the tube which allows the user to observe it visibly drip off.

Flow Direction: Unii-Directional; Flow Orientation: Vertical Down or Horizontal.

• Flutter Style: A PTFE flutter indicator can be used in any flow orientation and for bi-directional flow of gasses or liquids. The thin PTFE membrane curls into the flow area and moves with the slightest presence of a gas or liquid.  The degree of vibration or flutter indicates relative flow velocity.  Flow Direction: Bi-Directional; Flow Orientation: Any Orientation.

FIF Series:

Flanged dual window sight flow indicators feature flanged ends in accordance with ANSI B16.5 and B16.24.  These indicators offer inline on-the-spot viewing of a pipeline's contents. Series FIF may be configured with flapper, drip tube or rotary flow indicators. Options include DIN flange connections and double window assemblies. Rating: 150 PSIG (10.3 Barg). Full ANSI pressure Class 150 rating rating is available.

Series LIS is furnished with NPTF threaded ends and available with other special connections upon request.

LIG-F Series Flanged Ends with Guard Full View Sight Flow Indicators

Series LIG-F  ANSI 150# flanged end Armored Sight Flow Indicators are used to observe the flow of liquids in a piping system.

A rigid steel housing surrounds the sight tube and provides additional strength and protection from mechanical impact. Flanged connections are available in a variety of sizes to match the diameter of the pipe being used. A wide range of housing materials are available.

Units can be made with any overall length if additional visibility is required. Wetted materials consist of glass and the connection end plates. Recommended for low pressure vertical or horizontal applications. Maximum pressure allowable will vary with temperature and size.

LIG-S Series Flanged Ends with Guard Full View Sight Flow Indicators

Series LIG-S threaded end Armored Sight Flow Indicators are used to observe the flow of liquids in a piping system. A rigid steel housing surrounds the sight tube and provides additional strength and protection from mechanical impact.

Threaded end connections are available in a variety of sizes to match the diameter of the pipe being used. A wide range of housing materials are available. Units can be made with any overall length if additional visibility is required. Wetted materials consist of glass and the connection end plates. Recommended for low pressure vertical or horizontal applications. Maximum pressure allowable will vary with temperature and size.

FIF Series PTFE Lined Sight Flow Indicators (9)

PTFE lined sight flow indicators have been designed for visually observing the flow of corrosive media. Except for the borosilicate glass, all wetted parts of the indicators are lined with PTFE.

These units are ideal for viewing such corrosive fluids as acids, chlorides, sulfates, bleach solutions, solvents, and phenols. Each model can be provided with drip tubes. The Series FIF-PTFE lined is also available with flutter flow indicators. PTFE lined sight flow indicators are drilled to mate with ANSI Class 125/150 connections.
