Education and Reconciliation

Toronto Urban Native Staff and Board Members are available to assist communities with raising awareness of Indigenous issues, history, and Spiritual practices. We are committed to assisting settler and Indigenous communities as they walk on the reconciliation journey. Some of the services we offer are listed below. Please contact us for further information.

The KAIROS Blanket Exercise

The KAIROS Blanket Exercise is an interactive learning experience that teaches the Indigenous rights history we’re rarely taught. Developed in response to the 1996 Report of the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples—which recommended education on Canadian-Indigenous history as one of the key steps to reconciliation, the Blanket Exercise covers over 500 years of history in a one and a half hour participatory workshop.

Guest Preaching

Our clergy and Pastoral Care Worker as well as our Board Members are available to come and preach at churches and other faith institutions. This can include simply delivering a sermon, or providing full pulpit supply.

Contact us if you would like Toronto Urban Native Ministry to come participate in your worship service.

Please note that we get booked up quickly for Sunday morning worship and there is a fee for us to provide drummers.

Information Fairs and Events

We are always looking for opportunities to let the community know about our ministry. If you have an event coming up and would like us to table at it, please contact us.
