Dyslexia Tuition Torbay

A TORQUAY-BASED dyslexia and literacy tutor with 12 years' experience is reaching out for new students in the Bay area.
Literacy Tuition, run by Jenny Hulme from her home in Torquay, helps children improve their reading and spelling age using an interactive multi-sensory learning system.
Jenny is particularly looking to reach those who may not have had the option for private tuition before, and is offering low-cost sessions for anyone receiving benefits or income support.
Jenny, who uses special software to help students improve their reading and spelling age, has refined her methods of teaching to make it "as fun as possible".
She said: "As my background is in therapeutic counselling, I have introduced a more creative way of teaching, using paints, colours and rhyming."
An initial assessment is given to identify students' reading and spelling age, which Jenny is offering for free for a limited time.
Students are advised to attend the sessions for two hours a week and are assessed every six months to see how they have progressed.
Lessons cost between £20 to £22.50. Jenny is giving discounted sessions from £15 for those receiving benefits and from £10 for those on income support.
