Tsubaki no Yado is a registered residential accommodation business (private lodging) operated by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. Each building is exclusively reserved for one group.

Located near the station in central Nara city, this detached house can only be rented out to one group at a time. It can accommodate up to 10 people. It was renovated in 2024 while retaining the charm of a retro Showa era. It has a large bath, two showers, a touchless washbasin and toilet, a full range of kitchen appliances and utensils, and bedrooms with tatami flooring and Japanese futons. It's a 10-minute walk from the station and a 5-minute walk from Nara Park. It's close to the UNESCO-registered World Heritage Site of Ancient Nara, and is a recommended base for day trips to Universal Studios Japan, Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe, and more.

Although the inn does not provide meals, you are free to choose from a variety of dining options, just as if you were living there. You can cook using the cooking equipment and utensils in the inn's well-equipped kitchen, eat out at a variety of restaurants nearby, or order takeout in the relaxed dining room.

Reservation Information: Maximum occupancy of 10 guests. This accommodation is available exclusively to one group per building.
Room rate: ¥30,000 per person per night. An additional ¥20,000 per person for groups of two or more (for example, ¥70,000 for groups of three). Maximum occupancy: 10 guests.
Reservations can be made through the "Rakuten Inn," "AirBnB," and "Booking.com" reservation systems. Payment for the room rate is made in advance by card through the system. Due to differences in each reservation system, fees, reservation and cancellation dates may vary slightly. In addition to the room rate listed above, a handling fee of approximately 15% is required to make a reservation. Reservations can also be made by phone or email at the address listed below.
Regarding reservation approval
The reservation system does not immediately book reservations; approval is required from the property. To avoid double bookings, we will approve your reservation after coordinating with other systems. Once your reservation is confirmed, the property will send you an email with instructions on the necessary procedures.
If you reside in a Japanese-speaking country, please provide the names, dates of birth, addresses, and occupations of all guests.
If you reside in a non-Japanese-speaking country, please provide the names, dates of birth, addresses, and occupations of all guests, as well as the passport photo pages.
If there are more guests than originally booked, or if guest information has not been provided, we will be unable to accommodate you.
Once guests have provided their personal information and their reservation is complete, we will email them the PIN code to unlock the inn's front door, allowing them to skip the check-in process and enter the inn smoothly. Please also note that we have a security camera installed near the inn's entrance that records continuously to confirm the number of guests and to monitor the entry and exit of any suspicious individuals.
If you would like to make a reservation directly without going through the reservation system, please contact us by phone (09037029926) or email (tsubakinoyado@gmail.com). Payment for your stay can be made by bank transfer. In this case, there will be no handling fee. Please provide the same guest information as above.
Regarding CancellationsDue to the nature of our reservation system, reservations can be canceled up to 5 or 7 days before your stay, with no cancellation fee. Please note that a 100% cancellation fee will be charged if you cancel after the specified number of days. If you cancel through the reservation system, you will be refunded through the system. Please note that cancellations cannot be made through any other system. Guests who make direct reservations can cancel up to 5 days before your stay.
