Below is a recommended list of optional local activities for smaller groups. Connect with your friends and plan your perfect day before we gather for dinner at 5 PM on Wednesday. Most activities will be up to you to arrange to suit yourselves; a few will have hosts who will serve as your point of contact and advise you of any policies or reservation needs. Most of these activities have modest admission fees which are not included in the reunion fee. Please allow two to four hours for each activity.
America's mountain. Allow four hours for the round trip.
The Pikes Peak Cog Railway is a great way to get to the top. Rich Bainbridge is coordinating a time for a group trip; please reach out to Rich if you are interested. Reservations are required! Costs for this event are not included in the reunion fee.
Shooting range. Incredible war museum with private tours by reservation only on Wednesdays and Sundays - better than the Smithsonian! Short video tour

Golf
Play a round of golf at King's Deer Golf Club in Monument. This event has an estimated fee of $85 that will be handled separately by the event host. Please indicate your interest on the Registration page and direct questions to the host.

Take a 60 minute guided tour 1000 ft underground in a historic gold mine. Allow four hours for the round trip from Colorado Springs. Very popular - reservations are required!

Western Museum of Mining and Industry
Highly informative view into mining history and the machines that opened the West. Be sure to get a guided tour.
Largest and best in the US! The walk-in gold coin vault is amazing.

Graduates now also go to the US Space Force.
Allow processing time to enter a military base - be sure to check ahead since access may vary.
National Museum of World War II Aviation
Superb aircraft restorations and fascinating displays of WWII. Guided tours are available.
Mountainside zoo with spectacular views and very well done exhibits. Strenuous walking but there is a zoo shuttle tram to help you get around.
